Box lacrosse requires all the same gear that field lacrosse does but with some recommended additions.
Standard Gear - Helmet, Shoulder Pads, Elbow Pads, Gloves, Mouth Guard
Additional Gear (Highly Recommended) - Rib Pads, Bicep Pads. The physicality of the game paired with being able to set moving screens and cross check makes rib pads and bicep pads very useful and recommended for box. This padding will allow you to play the game at full speed without having to worry about a shot to the ribs or a dead arm from a shot to the bicep. We recommend a hard plastic option on rib pads for extra durability and protection. Under Armor and Gait make great options.
Helmets - Box lacrosse does have its own helmet style. However, standard field lacrosse helmets are completely fine. Buying a box helmet is not necessary. If you would like a box helmet, we do have Custom Mud Dawgs Box Helmets available for purchase.
Goalies - Goalies in box lacrosse our padded up similar to a hockey goalie with leg pads, hockey pants, and a chest protector. We have all required goalie equipment for all ages and sizes. Goalies will only need to provide their own helmet, gloves, cup, and stick.
